I just returned to Australia 6 months ago from teaching English in China for 2 years.

Before I left, I completed a biotechnology degree and worked part time in a supermarket learning every department and I was a duty manager in charge of the night crew and taking over the store during the day when the manager had to step out.

Now, I have just started with the competition supermarket as a full time night manager and working part time in a liquor shop in the old company. The good thing is I get discounts for both major companies.

But I feel unsatisfied because I want to be making more than 45k per year and doing something that involves day work. My dream is to be doing something that pays at least 65k and involves 38 hrs per week. Preferably using my degree. But I'm lost about what I can do and what I'm qualified for. I have been casually applying for pathology jobs.

The thing is I wish I could be like those men and women I see working in the finance industry. They dress professionally, have very responsible jobs and have enough disposable income to do what they want! That's the career direction I want.

I'm 28 and lack experience.
